Default R31 CR31 Setup

We are working on making our chassis perform better. Looking for some feedback on our settings. We run Sr TaG with a Leopard. We were having understeer but corrected that. Last race, my son reported that the kart was hoping through the corners.

Any feedback is appreciated. This is our first year of tweaking the chassis setup.

Rear Track 54.5
Front Track 45, 3 large spacers on inside

Rear Height - Chassis Low
Front Height - 2 Black washers on bottom

Front is 17MM spindles. Rear axle 50MM F, Hubs 100MM

Seat is 25 inches on right 24.5 on left.

Thank you

Normally when the rear of the kart hops it's because it's got too much grip. Are you running with the middle bearing in? Does your kart have a fixed fourth rail (inner rail on the left side) or can you remove it? What tires are you using and what is your cold tire pressure? Are you using a Free Line seat or something comparable?

I have had better luck running with the chassis up in the rear (axle down) as it seems to release the inside rear tire a bit easier. Depending on the tire and the track conditions you can cure a rear hop by going to a slightly harder axle like the M. If then you experience an understeer in the slow corners start by loosening the middle bearing. If it is already loose then raise the frame a little bit and then start to increase caster by .5 degree at a time.
